eco-Kinetics supplies and installs solar energy equipment for large and domestic scale energy generation in Australia and internationally. It has been a subsidiary of CBD Energy since January 2010. The eco-Kinetics business was founded on the principles of engineering excellence and a passion for environmentally sustainable energy. These skills have enabled eco-Kinetics to expand market share in Australia and build a growing projects business in new overseas markets.. In 2011, eco-Kinetics will expand into solar equipment manufacturing in Australia in a joint venture with one of China's largest renewable energy companies, Tianwei. As part of the CBD group, eco-Kinetics contributes to CBD being Australia's only fully integrated solar business. eco-Kinetics grew significantly during financial year 2011, increasing revenue fivefold.

In Australia, eco-Kinetics provides solar energy solutions for utilities, businesses and households. eco-Kinetics has increased market share significantly over the past year as some competitors have experienced variable demand due to changes to government support for solar energy and policy uncertainties around the Australian government's carbon tax legislation. Noteworthy aspects of eco-Kinetics business expansion in Australia over the past two years have included
• a $20 million contract to supply solar equipment to the Shepparton (Victoria) local government area
• a two year solar equipment supply contract with Queensland utility, Ergon Energy
• supplying solar equipment to the inland city, Alice Springs
• installing Australia's largest solar tracker in AliceSsprings
• installing one of Australia's biggest commercial solar energy units on an office building at North Ryde, a suburb of Sydney
In November 2011, eco-Kinetics will commence manufacturing solar equipment with its joint venture partner, Tianwei of China. The manufacturing facility is in south east Queensland and will produce equipment for Australian and international projects. Production will include solar photovoltaic equipment with integrated operating systems which will be fitted with frames and mounting equipment.
Other aspects of equipment supply in Australia in which eco-Kinetics is involved are solar inverters, manufactured by CBD subsidiary, Captech, solar air conditioning and solar thermal units. eco-Kinetics also provides engineering consulting services for renewable energy projects.
